Sorting options for library (and perhaps custom lists?)

Hi there,

While the library search filters look helpful if you’re looking for something specific, there’s not currently any option to sort your library without filtering, which makes it awkward to manage.

I recently bought the solo gaming bundle and it’s frustrating me that there’s no logical order to how the games are listed in my library. Since there are so many, I want to read through them a bit at a time - ideally in alphabetical order so I can remember which ones I’ve already sifted through.

Please could we get the option to apply basic sorting to our libraries, such as “A-Z by title”, “date purchased (newest first)” and “date updated (newest first)”?

It would also be great if we could make custom lists of games, like itch.io and Steam let users do, rather than exclusively relying on tags to try and group things together. (It can be helpful for both wrangling your own collection and curating recommendation lists for other users.) But I realise that would probably take more work to implement than basic sorting, so no worries if that’s not viable at present! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for highlighting this.

I agree that sorting options would be useful in the library, especially after large bundle purchases. We’ll work on adding those in, as I believe it would be a great UX improvement.

Regarding custom lists - that’s something on our roadmap that we haven’t built yet, but we are planning on working on it as soon as we can. You can see a general overview of our planned features here:

Awesome, thank you very much!

The roadmap is cool, seems like you’ve got a lot on your plate with the stuff in there already… Do you have any rough idea of your ideal timeframe for sorting options (e.g. is it likely to be a matter of days/weeks/months/not this year)?

For clarity, I’m not trying to heap pressure on you, I’m just asking so I know whether to hold off on sifting through my bundle games till it’s implemented (I would probably do this if it was likely to take a month or less) or just power through in the meantime

The sorting options should be live later today! Been working on it and just making some final tweaks to the UI. Since we already have sorting options on the marketplace side, adding them here is simple enough and doesn’t take long to build.

UPDATE: Sorting options are now live for the Library, Wishlist, Products, and Bundles pages in the dashboard (those last two are only visible to creators). We also updated the UI for the filters and search to make them more streamlined and easier to use across all devices.

That’s brilliant, thank you so much for the quick turnaround! I just tested it and it’s working well - this is gonna make looking through the bundle so much easier!
